Free Level vs 2x Exp
The admin had made their clear clarification to the moderators that Wizet had made the decision to move from free level to 2x exp (with 2x drop rates and special drops) instead for the benefits of the low and mid level players. With 2x exp, these players will be able to level a few "levels" instead of just one. The Admin had also posted a Poll and generally, 2x exp was more popular. Results have should that Mod's idea of 1 level could be less ideally than 2x exp and therefore agrees that 2x exp could be a better reward to our supporters.
The good news is, if you have a 2x exp card (cash item), it will be stackable during the 2x exp birthday rewards (meaning 4x!). Most likely, it's stackable with your HS! High-level maplers, you still get your advantage...
I will like to apologise for the confusion made as the plan was change by the people who made the decision.

Dear mods,
i think dat a mere 4 hours of 2Xexp will not let the high levelers gain a level. worst still on a weekend. look at Aquila at weekends now, without the events, people can hardly get in. what more during dat specific time session?
many voted for 2XExp and double drop rate cuz dey assumed dat the free level would still be as promised. it was like.. a plus to the event only.
i understand the decision is finalized, but i do hope u take the forum's response into consideration.

Ermm, Mod... i think now they are angry is because...when Admin make that poll... They didn't stated clearly whether the exp/drop rate is gonna be the whole day or has time slots. Therefore, all Maplers, of course included me, thinks that it will be whole day and not gonna be limited.That's why they chose exp x2 & drop rate x 2. Therefore, now will be like this.
And there is CHAOS is the forum, -.-, all about the what exp x2 and whatever....Please save the forum...i want to see post and not anguement T.T

even 2x exp n 2x drop sound nice but i dun prefer tat. i still prefer 1 free lvl. its better for every1 n it wun b soo laggy later on. especially for world lyk aquila, later on it will b veri veri pack. n dun forget later on ks war will b more n more >.<

I think people will prefer 1 free lv rather than 2Xexp and drop. Or say, at least I will prefer 1 free lv =.=
And I feel very disappointment for the decision. Not only the timing, but also GMs and Mod ignore what they said before >.<

no doubt 2x exp & 2x drop was more popular. Did maplesea anticipate the crowd and the lag that will be happening during the 2x exp/2x drop timeslot? Not to mention i can already imagine the number of KS wars that will be happening.
For people who really only wanto train in peace, having 2x exp at those timeslots totally spoil the training times for working class. Instead of being able to come back from work and relax by training in peace, we now have to fight with everyone for maps to kill. I understand my comment will not make a very big difference. But i really hope maplesea is able to consider the factors and consequences in making all decisions.

Also, It is only logical that the higher leveled players be rewarded for their hard work and time spent on mapling. The free level is ideal in this sense.

Oh.. What nice GMs we have. Going back on their word. Think about how many people would be unhappy with this decision you have made. Since you guys have announced that everyone would gain a free level on, you should have left at as it is. Or is the patch too difficult for you to do? You should just have a poll about how many people are pleased with this decision you have just made. 5%? 10%? If you guys cannot even confirm that you are giving a free level on that day, then you should not even had announced it, instead making it a suprise on that day. Now that you have changed it completly, I bet majority of the people would not be happy with you.

wai is only a moderator, and if you frequent the asiasoft forums you should know that moderators are only poor unpaid people who moderate the forums. You really think they have the authority to make such changes like no more free level? wai probably posted the news in this blog because he heard it from some admins somewhere, and the admins (aka people who can change their decisions) have decided to chicken out.
Look at it this way: You are a police officer. Now there is this rumour in some newspaper article that in future drink driving will no longer be punished. But it turned out to be false, and the public blame you instead, and come banging on your desk.. what would you feel?
Leave wai and his blog alone. He's only a little moderator... :'(

i strongly agree wif other ppl that the timing of x2 exp should be reconsidered. fridae,sat n sun is the most crowded timing that all bound to be lots of ks going on! moderator ought to change the timing. n in aquila it will be even harder to enter the world. maybe mapler should be given a choice if they wan x2 exp or free lvl. this will both benefit higher lvl n lower lvl maplers!!! afterall it's maple birthday...everyone should be happy =)

Personally, I feel that 2 x drop rate doesn't caused much changes except the huge amt of ppl in the worlds but at least we still can get a place to train... However, the 2x exp today makes a lot of ppl to sign in n train thier char... Making all the places for us to train full of ppl... We can't even get a training spot! So wat's the use of 2x exp den??? I hav ask some fellow Galaticans n dey oso faced the same problem... How do u fell abt tis??? Any suggestions??? Can wai bring tis up to the admins??? Can dey make more maps for us???

I am also very disappointed with the time slots of the 2x exp which is ongoing now...there are numerous ks wars with people fighting over the right to hoard the entire map, no matterhow large it is. People just refusee to share maps. The decision to haev a time slot for the 2x event is really a naive decision (no offence) i feel from the gms, considering that they know about the "cc pls" problem...

I would like to recommend that in future, for reward events like this. Perhaps we'll be given a X2 exp card with a predetermine amount of stored hours by clicking on the maple administrator npc. This card may have a validity of 30 days. Players can chose which time they'd like to use them and anytime within 30 days. This will not be hard to implement and also will not cause unfairness to those unable to get as it could spread out the use of X2 over 30 days. Also those who couldn't play on the stipulated time will not miss out on the reward
